Long Weekend in Ocean City, Maryland

Hi guys!

I just returned to work. As I mentioned earlier, I am a graphic designer for a company in King of Prussia, PA. So back to the grind… but first, let’s talk mini-vacay!

I was able to spend the weekend and Monday/Tuesday in Ocean City. Maryland. It was glorious. I don’t know about you but I am always a fan of off-season trips to the beach. Late September and Early October are GREAT times to visit. Many stores and attractions are still open without the hectic crowds… score!

Shut the front door!… am I right?

I went to the beach with my parents, John and Susan… and our lovable family pet, Bubba. It was Bubba’s first time at the beach. He is 13 years old and has a bit of hip issues (he’s had it since he was born and we keep a close eye on him with a vet’s help, of course). It didn’t stop him from tromping around in the water and along the shoreline.

We weren’t sure how he would handle everything so we kept him on the leash for a portion of the beach introduction.

His first encounter with sand was an interesting one… he’s only ever seen snow. So when he buried his face in it, confused pup face immediately followed along with a face full of sand. So darn cute! Once he got the hang of this ocean wave and sand thing, a little beach bum was born.

After the beach, we promised my mom, an avid mini-golfer, that we would play a round or two. Little did we know, she purchased the all-you-can-play pass… ah whaaaaa??! Now I love mini golf but sometimes, enough can be enough to some of us… LOL!

Can you spot the person who is thrilled we are back to playing mini-golf after playing 36 holes this morning?

Good guess, if you’re saying the lovely lady in the middle! My mom was so excited to start another round after we had dinner… 72 holes later…

Can you spot the person who is sad that 72 holes of mini-golf are now completed and we are on to the next adventure?

We all had a blast after we mastered our golf strokes and decided to go out for some ice cream. I mean, what kind of beach trip would it be without delicious ice cream! We took a trip to the boardwalk and just got to listen to the sounds of the waves crashing and the light breeze. It really was a great time spent with family and our dog Bubba. We don’t get a ton of time these days to spend a bunch of time together. When we do, it is always a blast. Before I close out this fun weekend… it is very true: some Italians are itty bitty…

Hi daddy! A whole 5 foot-nothin’… LOL, shhhhhh! Don’t tell him about this photo. Tee hee! I promise it is all in good fun!
